What is MarketPlays?

A marketplace sales simulation game for entrepreneurs, students, and schoolchildren

MarketPlays is a board game where each player becomes a marketplace seller. Choose a business model (FBO, FBS, or DBS), purchase goods, fulfill orders, and intercept others' — through tender.

The game immerses you in real e-commerce logistics: demand forecasting, inventory management, commission calculation, and risk management. One round = one day of sales. Over 15 rounds, players go through the full cycle: from startup capital to a major seller.

Perfect for teaching entrepreneurs, students, and schoolchildren the basics of marketplace trading. No theory — only practice through play.

How to Play

5 Phases of a Round

Each round is one day of sales. The game lasts 15 rounds.

Preparation

Change model (FBO/FBS/DBS), restock warehouse, purchase goods at 100 ₽

Order Distribution

Players draw 1–3 order cards blindly. Incompatible orders go to tender

Tender

Intercept others' orders through bidding. Lowest bid wins the order

Fulfillment

Fulfill orders, draw an event card. Penalty for unfulfilled orders

Calculation

Calculate capital: revenue minus commission, penalties, events, purchases. Round to tens
